The La Grande Amateur is a two-day individual strokeplay tournament held at La Grande Country Club on August 1-2, 2026. The event is open to all amateur golfers aged 18 and over. Players are flighted by course handicap. Tee placements are assigned by gender and age: Men (Blue), Women (Red), Men 50+ (White), Women 50+ (Red/Yellow), and 70+ (White/Green). All players are eligible for gross and net awards, as well as Sole Survivor events. The entry fee includes Friday practice rounds, Friday pizza, Saturday and Sunday lunch, and Saturday dinner. Entry fees are $150 for early bird members (deadline July 13) and $200 for early bird non-members; late registration fees are $175 for members and $225 for non-members (deadline July 23). Payment is required at registration. The tournament features a 50-person sole survivor event on July 30 ($20 cash entry) and Sunday sole survivor competitions for the top 10 gross and next 10 net players ($20 cash entry). Maximum participants are limited to 64. Cart rental is available for $15 per person per day. Players must follow LGCC rules and wear appropriate golf attire.
