The 1 August Trophy with Dinner is an annual public golf tournament held at Golf Meggen on August 1st (Swiss National Day). The event features a Flag Competition in stroke play format, where each player competes individually. Players receive a Swiss flag and a scorecard with their name and allocated strokes; after using their allotted strokes, they plant the flag where their ball lies. Prizes are awarded for net scores (places 1-5) for both ladies and men, plus special prizes for Nearest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and specific hole contests. The tournament starts at 14:00, with the last flight starting at 16:00. Entry fee is CHF 10 for adults and juniors, with greenfee at CHF 75 for adults and CHF 35 for juniors. Handicap limits: up to 15.0 for white/blue tees, 15.1-54 for yellow/red tees. Seniors (60+) and ladies (70+) have optional tee color choices. Registration closes on July 29, 2026 at 18:00. The evening includes an aperitif (offered by Golf Meggen), prize distribution at 19:00, and a shared dinner at 19:45 with options for meat (CHF 74) or vegetarian (CHF 65) menus. Non-golfing companions are welcome for the aperitif and dinner.
