Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf is an 18-hole championship course located north of Málaga airport in southern Spain, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. The course was redesigned by honorary member Miguel Ángel Jiménez, who utilized the natural terrain's orography to create movement and visual interest across the fairways.
The club was founded by a group of golf enthusiasts and Málaga residents, with significant development support from Finnish investor Kauko Rastas. The original clubhouse is a restored 18th-century country estate that forms the heart of the facility.
The layout takes advantage of the undulating landscape characteristic of the region, providing a challenging yet scenic round. The course emphasizes family-friendly golf and maintains modern facilities for all skill levels. Despite being a private members' club, it occasionally accommodates visitors on weekday mornings with advance reservation.
Real Guadalhorce has hosted significant professional tournaments, including the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España, establishing itself as a venue of international golfing importance. The club prioritizes values of integrity, respect, and honesty within a welcoming family atmosphere.
