Mixed 9-hole best ball fun tournament with a Caribbean/Pirate theme. Shotgun start at 3 PM on Sunday, July 26th. Entry fee is $25.00, which includes a Caribbean Chicken Dinner and prizes (green fees are separate). Open to both members and non-members. Sandy Hook Golf Club is an 18-hole course located on the shores of Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. Established in 1922 as a 9-hole layout by Winnipeg businessmen and golf enthusiasts with cottages in the area, the course was expanded to its current 18-hole configuration in the late 1980s by 'Jumbo' Jimmy Doyle. The clubhouse was completed in 1994. The course is currently owned and operated by Byron and Pat Doyle, sons of the original developer. The club hosts an active tournament schedule throughout the season, featuring both men's and ladies' competitions with various formats including scrambles, best ball, stableford, and match play events. Notable club championships are awarded annually to both men and women players. The course accommodates golfers of all levels with junior memberships available and reasonable green fee pricing, offering both 18-hole and 9-hole play options. Membership categories include full 7-day unrestricted access and weekday-only options.
