Golfclub Westerwald is an 18-hole golf course located in Dreifelden, situated within the Westerwald lake plateau landscape. The course features six different tee positions, with the white tees measuring 6,039 meters total. The gently rolling terrain is characterized by mature trees and several water hazards that provide strategic challenges and variety throughout play. The course is designed as a member-focused club that prioritizes community engagement rather than commercial operations. It includes practice facilities with a 3-hole training course for junior development. The club has received recognition for environmental stewardship through the "Lebensraum Golfplatz" (Golf Course Living Space) certification, achieved through thoughtful course design incorporating native trees, shrubs, wildflower meadows, and biotopes that support biodiversity. The facility hosts regular tournaments, including seasonal championships and competitive league play across various categories including women's, men's, and senior divisions. Notable events include the biennial Open tournament, scheduled for July 7-11, 2026. The course is well-maintained with professional greenkeeping standards and welcomes guest players through greenfee arrangements.
