The Business Battle is a company golf competition held at De Goese Golf, consisting of a series of 7 matches throughout the year. Teams of two players compete in Fourball Betterball Stableford format, where each player plays their own ball and the best individual stableford score (after handicap adjustment) from each team is recorded per hole. Teams must enter one scorecard per team, with partners marking each other's scores. Teams are required to play at least 5 of the 7 matches for an overall standing (average of the best 5 scores). The competition is open to companies that are not members of De Goese Golf. Players with a handicap of 36 or higher play from a handicap of 36 and from the red tees. The 2026 schedule includes matches on: March 3, April 7, May 12, July 7, August 4, September 1, and October 6. After each 9-hole match on the first Tuesday of the month, there is a networking opportunity with other participants. A separate clinic is available for beginner golfers who prefer to join the networking evenings rather than the competition. Entry is made via an online registration form.

Goese Golf is an 18-hole championship parkland course designed by renowned English golf architect Donald Steel, who has created over 70 courses worldwide including Barsebäck in Sweden and Royal County Down in England. Located less than one kilometer from National Park Oosterschelde, the Netherlands' largest nature reserve, the course spans approximately 80 hectares with a length exceeding 6,000 meters from the yellow tees, making it one of the longest courses in the country. The course features rolling fairways and challenging greens shaped from sand extracted from Goese Lake, creating a distinctive landscape. The terrain offers beautiful vistas throughout each round. Goese Golf also includes a 9-hole Par-3 course, modern Trackman driving range, practice green, and chipping green. The facility accommodates golfers of all levels through its golf academy run by PGA professionals, offering lessons for beginners and advanced players. Beyond golf, the venue features Brasserie Meer with a terrace overlooking the course, serving food and beverages, and hosts business events and social gatherings.
