The Club de golf de Rivière-du-Loup is an 18-hole course located at 132, route de la Montagne in Notre-Dame-du-Portage, Quebec, situated on the border with the city of Rivière-du-Loup. Inaugurated in 1902, the course was originally developed by a group of summer visitors who cleared land in the predominantly English-speaking Saint-Patrice sector. The layout offers challenges for both beginners and professionals, set against a backdrop that includes views of the St. Lawrence River and the Charlevoix mountains. The course is characterized by its historical setting and natural terrain, with the original club house and early two or three holes forming part of its heritage. The layout provides distinct challenges, with specific holes noted for their scenic views. The second and thirteenth holes are highlighted for offering impressive vistas of the river and the Charlevoix mountains. The practice area features a 300-yard range, noted for its sunset views over the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. The club maintains a long-standing history, having operated for more than 120 years. It offers a full range of services including a pro shop, a terrace, and an academy with qualified instructors. The course hosts various annual events, including the Tournoi Fondation de la santé, the Tournoi d’ouverture, and the Tournoi Classique des Barlettes, among others scheduled throughout the golf season.
