The 48th Tomei Open Competition is an individual golf competition held at Tomei Country Club (Momozono Course) on September 2, 2026. The event consists of the front 9 holes played as strokeplay, with scores calculated using the Double Peria method for handicap purposes. Players may enter individually and are free to arrange their own partnerships. Play starts from the Momozono Course with tee times scheduled between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM. Scores are recorded via Cart Nav. The event is open to all golfers — members, member-and-guest visitors, and general visitors can all enter. Entry fees are 10,500 yen (tax included) for members, 14,000 yen for member-and-guest visitors, and 14,500 yen for general visitors. Caddie-assisted cart play is available for an additional 2,750 yen (tax included). Players use white tees, though ladies and male golfers aged 75 and over may use green tees. The competition is limited to 20 groups (80 players maximum), and entries close once the limit is reached. There is no awards ceremony or party; winners receive prizes at checkout, which may vary depending on the number of entrants. The event is organized by Tomei Country Club, located at 300 Momozono, Oyama-cho, Kamo-gun, Shizuoka 410-1126.

Located in Susono, Shizuoka Prefecture, Tomei Country Club is a 27-hole facility designed by Hideo Takeuchi and opened in September 1968. The course is divided into three distinct nine-hole layouts: the Ashitaka, Susono, and Momozono courses. Situated at the foothills of Mount Fuji, the terrain offers expansive views of the mountain, allowing players to navigate wide fairways that change character with the seasons. The club is accessible via the Tomei Expressway, with the Susono Interchange providing a short drive to the grounds. The course layout features a total of 27 holes, with each nine-hole segment playing to a par of 36. The Ashitaka and Susono courses both play to a par 72, while the Momozono course also plays to par 72. Yardages vary significantly across the holes, with long par-fives such as the 7th on the Ashitaka course reaching 570 yards from the back tees, and short par-threes like the 7th on the Momozono course measuring just 144 yards. The course ratings range from 69.6 to 72.3, with handicaps assigned to specific holes to balance the difficulty across the three distinct layouts. Tomei Country Club has a significant history in professional golf, hosting the Golf Digest Tournament from 1971 to 1997. The facility also supports junior golf development, hosting the Golf Digest Japan Junior Cup starting in 1998 and running a Junior Golf Academy. The club features a 300-yard driving range with 21 mats, a bunker and approach practice area, and multiple dining and event facilities. The course is a member of the Japan Golf Association (JGA) and the Kanto Golf Association (KGA).
