Öffentlicher 6-Loch-Kurzplatz (Maritim-Kurs)

Schleswig-Holstein, Germany

Located at the Maritim Golfpark Ostsee in Warnsdorf, the Öffentlicher 6-Loch-Kurzplatz, also known as the Maritim-Kurs, is a six-hole short course designed to provide an accessible entry point into the sport. Situated immediately adjacent to the club house and the TeeTime restaurant, the layout offers views across the fairways of the See-Kurs and out toward the Hemmelsdorfer See. The course is a Par 18, consisting entirely of Par 3 holes with lengths ranging from 76 to 119 meters, totaling 551 meters for the full round. The facility is specifically tailored for beginners, children, and golfers without a Platzreife or club membership. It serves as a practical training ground for those refining their short game or applying skills learned on the driving range. The course operates on a first-come, first-served basis without the need for tee time reservations, utilizing a ball spiral system at the first tee to manage the start order. Green fees are set at 15 euros for a single round, with an additional cost for club rentals. The layout is part of the larger 33-hole facility, which was originally designed by Christoph Städler in 2003 and underwent significant renovation in 2020. While the main 9-hole courses present varied challenges with strategic bunkering and fast greens, the Kurzplatz remains a straightforward, low-stakes environment focused on accessibility and fundamental practice.
