Eaglekorten

Eaglekorten is a nine-hole par 3 course located at Albatross Golfklubb in Hisings Backa, Sweden. The course was completed in 1999 as a dedicated short-course facility designed to provide high-quality golf for beginners and those still developing their game. Unlike many practice courses that utilize artificial turf, Eaglekorten features natural grass, maintaining the same quality standards as the club’s full-length courses while offering a more accessible format. The layout consists of nine holes played from tee boxes that are shorter than standard distances, making it suitable for players of all skill levels. The course is available for play on a Pay & Play basis throughout the week, allowing for flexible access without the need for advance bookings required for the longer 18-hole and 9-hole courses. This accessibility supports the club’s vision of catering to both novice golfers and experienced players seeking a quick round or practice session. Albatross Golfklubb, founded in 1973, operates three distinct courses: the 18-hole Albatrossen, the 9-hole Birdiebanan, and Eaglekorten. The club’s history includes the gradual expansion of its facilities, with the initial seven holes opening in 1974 and the full 18 holes completed the following year. The addition of Eaglekorten in 1999 and a further 9-hole course in 2006 brought the total facility to 27 holes, establishing it as a comprehensive golf destination in the Gothenburg area.
