The Trent Lock Golf Open is an open competition held at Trent Lock Golf & Country Club on Saturday 22nd August 2026 on the Riverside Course. The event is sponsored by American Golf and is open to both club members and visiting golfers. It is a singles stableford competition with prizes for the top 5 finishers, including rewards from American Golf. There is also a chance to win a full membership at Trent Lock Golf Club with a Hole-in-One on the 18th hole. Entry fees are £10 for members and £20 for visitors. Bookings can be made online through the club's visitor booking system.

Trent Lock Golf & Country Club features two distinct courses located in the East Midlands. The Riverside Course is an 18-hole layout that overlooks the River Trent, offering scenic views across the grounds. The Canal Side Course is a 9-hole course, designed for golfers with limited time or beginners developing their skills and confidence. The club, established since 1990, is set in a riverside landscape with varied terrain. The 18-hole course presents challenging holes mixed with more accessible play, while the shorter 9-hole option provides a unique full course experience in Nottinghamshire. Beyond the courses, Trent Lock offers a 22-bay driving range equipped with Trackman technology, featuring interactive touchscreens and virtual course play options. The facility includes a 12-hole pirate-themed adventure putting course and a clubhouse with dining facilities. The club has achieved Golf Mark accreditation from England Golf, recognising its quality standards. Trent Lock hosts regular competitions, including the Trent Lock Golf Open, and welcomes golf societies and visitors alongside its membership base.
