Hirukawa Golf Course is a 27-hole facility located in a landscape defined by the surrounding natural terrain of Mount Taketori, Mount Ena, Mount Kasaoki, and the Central Alps. The course opened on September 27, 1989, and spans a total area of 1,693,928 square meters. The layout is divided into three distinct nine-hole courses: the East Course, the Middle Course, and the West Course. The entire complex plays to a total par of 108 and measures 10,086 yards from the back tees. The course was designed and supervised by Craig R. Stadler and Hirochika Tomizawa. Stadler’s design philosophy focused on integrating the golf holes with the natural undulations and expansive space of the land. The East Course covers 3,371 yards with a par of 36, while the Middle Course measures 3,382 yards, also at par 36. The West Course is slightly shorter at 3,301 yards, maintaining the par 36 structure. Each nine-hole loop features a mix of par 3, 4, and 5 holes, with yardages varying significantly depending on the tee box selected. Playing difficulties are indicated by specific course ratings for different tee combinations. From the back tees, the men's rating ranges from 73.6 to 73.7, while the middle and front tees offer lower ratings for intermediate players. The women's ratings from the forward tees range between 70.1 and 71.1. The course features bentgrass greens, with specific yardages provided for back, regular, front, gold, and ladies' tees for each hole, allowing for varied strategic challenges across the 27 holes.
