The 188th Shoji Cup is an open competition held at Shoji Golf Club on September 2, 2026. This is one of the club's regular open competitions (オープンコンペ), open to both members and visitors. Entry is available by phone or upon arrival at the course, with a minimum entry of one player. The entry fee of 6,400 JPY includes the playing fee, lunch subsidy, and prizes. Start times are available from 7:00 to 7:49 AM (through) or 9:00 to 10:49 AM (with mid-round break for lunch). Players arriving on the day will pay the standard rate plus an additional 1,000 JPY for the Shoji Cup. Since 2022, members and visitors have been combined in the same scoring results.

The course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout designed by architect Kazuo Iguchi. The course features well-maintained greens and tees that cater to both members and visitors. Key characteristics include a variety of hole lengths that test different aspects of a player's game, with several par-4s requiring precise approach shots to well-guarded putting surfaces. The layout incorporates natural hazards such as bunkers and water features on specific holes to add strategic depth. Notable features of Shoji Golf Club include its night golf facilities, which allow for play after sunset during the appropriate seasons. The course also offers a restaurant and locker rooms for guests. The club regularly hosts member events and competitions.
