The course was established in the mid-1990s, with the first nine holes opening in September 1994 and the second nine completing the layout in August 1996. The facility is maintained to USGA standards, featuring a unique design element where each hole is equipped with two greens, offering strategic variety and conditioning. The course is characterized by its mature tree lines and natural terrain, which Krause carefully preserved during the initial planning phase in the early 1990s. The club is known for its strong community engagement, hosting regular play days for ladies, men, and seniors, and has produced competitive team performances in the lower Saxony golf association. The facility is situated near the club's restaurant, Das Eysten, which is located adjacent to the 18th hole. The course remains in its original layout, with minor modifications such as the relocation of the 18th tee and adjustments to water hazards and bunkers on specific holes.
