The Test de Classement 9 trous La Durance is an individual stableford competition open to both members and visiting golfers. The event takes place on the La Durance 9-hole course at Golf International de Pont Royal on Thursday afternoons during July and August. Tee times start from 14:30 and are published online in index order. Members pay a 5€ course fee, while non-members pay a 31€ green fee plus a 5€ course fee (36€ total). A medical certificate for competitive play is required; without it, participants compete without official FFG registration, ranking, or prize eligibility but must still pay the competition fee. Indexes below 26.5 are not modified regardless of performance. Local golf rules apply. Entries are possible up to the day before the competition. Tee times are published on the club website the day before the event; cancellations cannot be accepted after publication and will be treated as disqualifications. The competition committee consists of the sports association and the golf club management.

La Durance is a six-hole golf course located at the Golf International de Pont Royal in Mallemort, France. Situated just five minutes from the club’s primary eighteen-hole Ballesteros course, the layout serves as a dedicated training center. The course is integrated into the Provencal pine forest, running alongside the Canal de la Durance, which provides the setting for its name. The layout consists of five par 3 holes and one par 4, covering a total distance of 950 meters. The par 4 is the third hole, measuring 275 meters from the back tees, while the remaining five holes are all par 3s. The par 3s vary in length, with the longest being the fifth hole at 155 meters and the shortest being the sixth hole at 105 meters. The course features handicap indices ranging from 1 to 6, with the first hole carrying a handicap of 6 and the fifth hole carrying a handicap of 1. Designed for technical precision, the course requires accurate shot-making to score well. It is maintained to a high standard to allow for competitions that prepare players for the more demanding challenges on the main eighteen-hole course. The setting allows golfers to play between two appointments or to practice their game in an environment scented with thyme and pine.
