Dai Koka Country Club Jin Course

滋賀県, Japan

The Dai Koka Country Club Jin Course, also known as the Kamura Course, is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course located in Koka, Shiga Prefecture, Japan. Situated in the natural setting of the Kamura area, the course is characterized by its layout among mature pine forests that offer players a sense of unity with nature across the changing seasons. The terrain is divided into two distinct halves: the front nine is described as flat and open, allowing for powerful drives, while the back nine demands greater accuracy and strategic shot-making. The front nine presents a mix of accessible and technical holes. The opening hole is a 342-yard par 4 that requires a safe drive to avoid right-side out-of-bounds. The second hole, the longest par 4 on the course at 428 yards, features out-of-bounds on both sides of the green, penalizing inaccurate approach shots. The seventh hole stands out as the longest on the front nine, a 534-yard par 5 with a wide fairway but requiring caution regarding right-side out-of-bounds on the second shot. The eighth hole is a 144-yard par 3 guarded by a water hazard in front of the green that counts as out-of-bounds. The back nine introduces more elevation changes and strategic challenges. The tenth hole is a 483-yard par 5 that requires a precise second shot to an elevated green. The twelfth hole is a 153-yard par 3 played from an elevated tee, requiring careful club selection to avoid going over the green. The seventeenth hole, a 390-yard par 4, features a two-tiered fairway and bunkers guarding the front of the green. The eighteenth hole is a 364-yard par 4 dogleg left with a water hazard on the left side, making tee shot placement critical. The course has a Course Rating of 67.7 and a Slope Rating of 118 from the regular tees, which measure 5,918 yards. From the back tees, the distance extends to 6,436 yards with a higher rating of 70.3 and a Slope of 126. For women, the regular tees offer a rating of 72.6 and a Slope of 127 over 5,918 yards. The course does not have a practice facility.
