Chiba Yomiuri Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The layout offers multiple tee configurations to accommodate varying skill levels, with the Blue tees measuring 6,142 yards from the front tees. The course features a rotating green schedule, utilizing A, B, and B+ greens throughout the season to maintain playing conditions. The course is designed to appeal to a wide range of golfers, from beginners to competitive players. A defining characteristic of the facility is its 18th hole, which is a replica of the 18th hole at the Tokyo Yomiuri Country Club. This finishing hole is a demanding uphill par-3 that plays from 158 yards at the Red tees to 224 yards at the Black tees. The green features a strong slope from back to front, making over-shooting a significant risk and requiring precise distance control. Significant challenges are presented throughout the front nine, particularly on the par-5 4th hole. This long hole, stretching to 573 yards from the Black tees, requires a tee shot that avoids a frontal bunker and stays left of the trees. The approach shot follows the cart path, with players needing to navigate bunkers surrounding the green. The course also includes several short holes, such as the 2nd and 6th, which serve as scoring opportunities but require accuracy off the tee. The club actively participates in the competitive golf circuit, hosting various amateur tournaments sanctioned by the Japan Public Golf Association (PGS). Recent events have included the PGS Bridgestone Cup and the PGS Dunlop Cup monthly meetings, as well as qualifying rounds for the All Japan Women's Senior and Mid-Senior Amateur Golfers' Championship. The facility also supports group play, offering specific rates for four-player groups on weekdays and larger competition parties on weekends.
