Fukusaki Toyo Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in Fukusaki, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Designed by Eiji Furuki, the layout spans 6,801 yards from the back tees and is characterized by a mix of flat terrain and strategic elevation changes. The course is described as difficult and suitable for all players, offering a variety of challenges that test both distance and precision. The front nine begins with relatively straightforward, flat holes that allow for an open start, but the difficulty ramps up significantly as the round progresses. The 6th hole features a distinctive "floating island" green, a signature feature that demands careful club selection due to wind effects and the psychological pressure of the isolated landing area. The 10th hole provides a dramatic change in scenery with a downhill tee shot that overlooks the town of Fukusaki, requiring players to navigate a precise landing zone to set up an approach shot. The back nine introduces more complex strategic elements, including the 12th hole, a downhill par-3 that is frequently buffeted by strong winds rising from the valley below. The 14th hole is noted for having the most difficult green on the course, surrounded by nine bunkers that penalize inaccurate approaches. Water hazards come into play on the 15th and 16th holes, with the latter offering scenic views of a large pond and seasonal trees while guarding against pulls that could result in out-of-bounds penalties. The course concludes with a 18th hole that plays up a gentle slope, often causing players to overexert on their drive before facing a demanding approach. Tournament activity at the club includes the Harima Open Golf tournament, which has been held at the venue. The course features two sets of tees for most holes, allowing for varied yardage and difficulty levels, and includes a practice facility with a driving range, putting green, and bunker area adjacent to the main course.
