The 11th Usuki Open Golf (Chairman's Cup Amateur Championship) is an individual 18-hole strokeplay competition held at Usuki Country Club on August 27, 2026. The event features two divisions: a General Scratch division (130 players) and a Senior & Ladies division (50 players). The General Scratch division is open to all amateur golfers aged 18 and over, excluding high school students, university students, trainees, or those equivalent to trainees. The Senior & Ladies division allows male players who will turn 60 by December 31 of the current year, and female players with no age restriction. The Senior & Ladies division includes both a scratch competition and a handicap competition using the double par/a format (handicap 0.0-36.0). Visitors pay an entry fee of 11,000 JPY (tax included), which includes green fees and meals. Entry is by application form submitted via FAX or email to Usuki Country Club by August 13, 2026, or until capacity is reached. Tee times are assigned by the club after pairings are published on August 20 on the club website. The event is played on 18 holes with carriages allowed. The General Scratch division plays from the blue tees, the Senior & Ladies division from the white tees (women may use red tees). A prize ceremony is held for the top 3 finishers in the scratch competitions of each division. The event proceeds in rain but may be cancelled or rescheduled if play is impossible.

Venue

Usuki C.C.

大分県, Japan

Located in Usuki City, Oita Prefecture, Usuki C.C. is an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Mitsui Fudosan and supervised by professional Cho Yong-wook. The facility spans 1.17 million square meters and features a distinct separation between its front and back nines. The front nine was carved out of a hillside, creating an open and expansive layout, while the back nine retains a denser tree cover that preserves the natural landscape. The course utilizes Bermuda grass tees and Bentgrass greens, with yardages ranging from 5,116 yards for ladies to 6,748 yards from the back tees. The design prioritizes visibility and flow, featuring minimal elevation changes and no blind shots. Tee positions are generally elevated, resulting in a majority of downhill approach shots that allow for clear target acquisition. The front nine is characterized by its length and openness, with the 1st hole serving as a demanding 538-yard par-5 from the back tees. The back nine introduces more strategic complexity, with the 14th hole standing out as a 400-yard par-4 that plays as the easiest hole on the course (Handicap 2), contrasting with the shorter but more technical 12th hole, a 200-yard par-3 that carries a Handicap 14 rating. Usuki C.C. has established a significant history in competitive golf, hosting the 63rd National Sports Festival women's golf competition in 2008 and the 38th Kyushu Amateur Championship final in 2019. The course is a regular venue for the LPGA Step-Up Tour, having hosted the Fundokin Ladies tournament annually since 2013. Additional tournament history includes the 49th Kyushu Interclub Championship final in 2019 and the 11th Kyushu Mid-Amateur Championship final in 2021.
