Boardshorts & Birdies Open

The Boardshorts & Birdies Open is an annual summer golf tournament held at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington, Connecticut. The event combines a golf competition with a beach party and Hawaiian Luau theme. The format is an 18-hole scramble (team format) with a shotgun start at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2026. Registration begins at 11:30 AM. The entry fee is $476 per team of four players ($119 per player), or $396 per team for FlexPass members ($99 per player with promo code). The entry fee includes green fees, cart fees, range balls before play, a player entry gift, prizes, drinks, a dinner buffet, and access to the venue's famous Duck Chippin' Contest and Rubber Ducky Race. Attire is themed: boardshorts, Hawaiian tees, and bucket hats are encouraged. The event is open to the public and can be entered online via Eventbrite.
