Spark Golf League

The Spark Golf League is a weekly 9-hole social golf league held at Rancho del Pueblo Par 3 Golf Course in San Jose, California. The league runs every Wednesday from late April through late August 2026, with rounds starting at 6:00 PM. Entry is open to all golfers regardless of skill level or handicap — no existing handicap is required as Spark provides a custom handicap based on player performance. Each round costs $25 and can be registered online through the Spark Golf app or website before the registration deadline (typically 10:00 AM on the day of play). Players can join as individuals or pair up with a partner. The competition features two games: a 2-person team game in net best ball (betterball) format, where the team score is the better of the two players' net scores per hole, and an individual game based on each player's net score. Handicaps are calculated by Spark based on each player's recent scores, with strokes applied to the lowest handicap holes. The maximum score per hole is displayed in the app to maintain pace of play. Players enter their gross scores hole-by-hole into the Spark app, which calculates net scores. Skins are also available each round, awarded to the individual with the lowest non-tied net score on a hole. The league allows up to 20 players per round, and registration is first-come, first-served.
