The Gents Open Am-Am 50+ is an open competition for male amateur golfers held at Worksop Golf Club on Monday 27th July 2026. The event is played as a Betterball Stableford format, where teams of two players compete with the better of the two scores counting at each hole. Visitors are welcome to enter. All competitors must hold an official active club CDH number and have submitted at least three qualifying competition scores in the previous calendar year (2025). The entry fee is £45.00 for visitors (£25.00 for club members), payable at the time of booking. Players will play from the White tees on the Worksop course. Booking closes at 18:00 on the day of the competition.

Worksop Golf Club is located on the outskirts of Worksop within Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest, situated on natural sand and gravel subsoils that enable year-round play. The course measures 6,628 yards, par 72 for men and 5,928 yards, par 74 for ladies, providing an excellent test for golfers of all abilities. Set in a mature woodland setting, the course features fast-running fairways and tricky greens characteristic of its naturally well-draining terrain. Worksop is ranked 160th in England and 330th in GB&I according to Golf World Rankings. The club hosted the 2022 English Amateur Championship. Notable members and patrons include Lee Westwood, a former World No. 1 and Ryder Cup legend who learned the game there as a junior, and DP World Tour winner Mark Foster. The course's unique playability throughout all 52 weeks of the year is a defining characteristic, making it accessible despite challenging conditions during winter months.
