Golf d'Angers

St-Jean-des-Mauvrets, Pays de la Loire, France

Golf d'Angers, founded in 1964, is the oldest golf course in the Anjou department. Located in a 55-hectare domain at Les Garennes sur Loire, approximately 15 minutes southeast of Angers, the course sits in a picturesque setting between the Loire River and vineyards. The 18-hole championship course features a par 70 layout and measures 5,362 meters. The course offers varied terrain with wooded areas, water hazards, dolmens, and an historic mill. As an association-focused club, it emphasizes community, sport, and environmental respect, having earned the "Golf and Biodiversity" label in 2024. The facility includes a practice range, electric and manual cart rentals, and a clubhouse. The course hosts various competitions throughout the year and offers professional instruction through its golf academy. The setting combines natural beauty with historical significance, providing players with an experience in a well-preserved natural environment. Winter play involves adjustments including designated winter tees and greens, with cart restrictions during frozen or snowy conditions.
