The Deer Valley Open is a 4-person scramble golf tournament held at Deer Valley Golf Course in Barneveld, Wisconsin. The event features an 8:30 am check-in and 9:30 am shotgun start. The entry fee is $80 per person for visitors, which includes 18 holes with a cart, a cookout lunch, a tee gift, and a donation. Full members with cart pass pay $40 and members without cart pass pay $60. The tournament features flighted prizes and hole prizes on every hole, including many rounds of golf from courses in Wisconsin. The field is limited to 120 players (or 128 in some references, but entry form says 120). Entry deadline is July 9th at 5:00 PM or when the field is full. Entries can be submitted by mailing the entry form to Deer Valley Golf Course. The event is organized by Todd King and can be contacted at 608-924-3033. In 2025, the event raised over $10,000 for the Barneveld Scholarship Fund.

The course features 27 holes across three layouts: the Ridge Course, Prairie Course, and Valley Course, which opened in 1999 and 2009 respectively. The course is characterized by links-style design with significant elevation changes, including a dramatic par-3 fifth hole with nearly a 100-foot drop over 100 yards. The par-5 13th hole was featured on the cover of Wisconsin State Journal's 2000 Golf Guide. The Valley Course, opened in 2009, incorporates mature trees, secluded holes, water hazards, and gently sloping greens. Deer Valley is recognized as one of southern Wisconsin's most beautiful and challenging public courses, offering varied terrain that requires golfers to use their full repertoire of shots.
