Campo Europa is an 18-hole championship course stretching 6,014 metres with a par 71, designed with the average golfer in mind. The course was designed by Cabell B. Robinson and opened in March 2005. Its generous fairways, flatter terrain, and slightly larger greens make it more forgiving than the resort's other courses, Campo America and Campo Asia. The River Ojén is a picturesque river that crosses three fairways and comes into play on eight holes, navigated by one main bridge and four smaller bridges. The 3rd and 14th holes are guarded by water hazards, with the 14th being a standout par 3 stretching to the maximum allowable 233 metres. The 11th is a par 5 measuring 524 metres, the longest hole on the course. Four golf cart tunnels ensure smooth travel throughout the course. Located just 30 minutes from Málaga Airport and 20 minutes from Marbella, the course is situated within the La Cala Resort complex near Mijas Costa in the Málaga province. La Cala Resort hosted the Q-school for the Ladies European Tour in November 2005 and 2006, as well as the Spanish Pairs Professional Championship in 2007.
