Summer Scramble

The Summer Scramble is a 9-hole Texas Scramble competition held at Golfbaan Bentwoud on Saturday 11 July 2026. Players compete in teams of four, with the best ball from each team used on every shot. Teams can be entered as a group or as individual players — the club will form teams from individual entries. The event is played as net strokeplay, with handicaps capped at 36 per player. Team handicap is calculated as the sum of the four team members' handicaps divided by 8 (50% calculation). Each team must use at least two of its players' tee shots, with one tee shot free. Non-rondkaart holders pay €37.50 per person, while rondkaart (all-week) holders pay €10.00 plus one rondkaart punch. The entry fee includes 9 holes of golf, a bottle of water for the course, and a drink (soft drink, draft beer, or house wine) with three bitters in Brasserie Roest. Registration opens at 14:30 at the reception, with the 9-hole competition starting at approximately 15:00. After the round, from 17:15, participants are invited to a drinks reception and prize-giving at Brasserie Roest. Entries must be made by Thursday 9 July at 12:00, with the starting list sent out on that date. Prizes are awarded to the winning team.
