Texas Scramble for a team of 4, which must include a minimum of 1 lady. Played off full handicap (not a percentage). Maximum course handicap: 28 for men, 40 for ladies; no maximum for juniors. Note: this is a non-qualifying competition and does not count for handicap purposes. Entry fee of £18 per person is payable at the time of online booking. Booking can also be made by phone on 015242 71592. Players must report to the clubhouse 10 minutes before their tee time. Cancellation more than 1 week in advance incurs no charge; less than 1 week incurs a 50% charge; same-day cancellation or failure to cancel incurs a 100% charge.

Casterton Golf Course is located in the Lune Valley near Kirkby Lonsdale in South Cumbria, overlooking the market town with spectacular views of the Yorkshire Dales, Lakeland Fells, and Lancashire Coast. The nine-hole main course measures 5,802 yards and is a Par 70 layout comprising 2 Par 3s, 6 Par 4s, and 1 Par 5 hole. The course has been radically improved and extended in recent years, utilizing naturally undulating parkland with rocky outcrops characteristic of the limestone terrain. Each hole possesses distinctive character and features to challenge golfers of all abilities. The limestone bedrock provides excellent drainage, ensuring year-round playability. The course is renowned for the excellence of its greens and high maintenance standards. Notable holes include the opening Par 4 (427 yards) with its challenging bank clearance, Hole 5, an uphill Par 3 (136 yards) protected by a hedge and bunker, and the Par 5 finishing hole (485 yards) that curves right toward the clubhouse. The varied topography and strategic bunker placement create an engaging test of golf across the nine holes.
