Moose Run Golf Course

AK, United States

Moose Run Golf Course is Alaska's only 36-hole facility located adjacent to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson near Anchorage. The Hill Course, established in 1952 by Army Combat Engineers, features gently rolling hills on its front nine and is easily walkable, suitable for beginners and experienced golfers alike. The Creek Course, designed by Robin Nelson and opened in 2000, is named for Ship Creek that meanders through several holes and is ranked #1 in Alaska by Golf Digest. Both courses are situated at the base of the Chugach Mountains, offering spectacular alpine views. The property spans over 500 acres of Alaskan wilderness where golfers frequently encounter wildlife including moose, bears, wolves, lynx, eagles, and sheep. The Creek Course has earned national recognition, ranking #49 among America's 50 toughest courses and #10 globally for military golf courses. The facility includes a large driving range, grass chipping areas, and practice putting greens. Open to military personnel, veterans, and civilians, it serves as a premier golf destination attracting visitors worldwide.
