Weekly 2-Person Best Shot is a 9-hole golf competition held every Tuesday from May 19 through August 25, 2026, at Okoboji View Golf Course in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Tee times start at 3:00 p.m. The event is open to everyone, including visitors and non-members. Entry costs $45 per person, which includes the 9-hole best shot competition, entry fee with cash payout prizes, and an 8 oz. steak dinner with baked potato and dinner salad, including sales tax. To sign up, call 712-337-3372. Players compete in pairs using the betterball format, where the better score of the two players counts at each hole.

Okoboji View Golf Course is an 18-hole public course with membership availability located in Spirit Lake, Iowa, near West Lake Okoboji. Originally built and opened in 1962, the course underwent major renovations after being purchased by the Schnell Brothers in 2005, including the addition of a watershed that enhanced both aesthetics and water quality. The layout features rolling hills, tree-lined fairways, fast greens, and beautiful water features that present varied challenges for golfers. The course emphasizes a natural setting with an eye toward detailed course maintenance. The facility includes Pub19 Bar & Grill, a full-service restaurant and bar with deck seating overlooking the course. The club is managed by PGA Head Professional Curt, a four-time Player of the Year and Teacher of the Year in Iowa and Nebraska, inducted into the Iowa Golf Association Hall of Fame in 2015. The course superintendent has over 40 years of experience in golf course management, maintaining the well-manicured conditions throughout the property.
