The Thursday Afternoon Chook Run is an open competition held weekly on Thursdays at Oxley Golf Complex (Corinda Golf Course). Players can tee off between 10am and 4pm. The competition is open to all golfers, including visitors and non-members. The club aims to teach new golfers how to get involved in competition golf and learn different scoring formats including strokeplay, par vs stroke, and stableford. Bookings for Thursday are essential and can be made by calling the pro shop on (07) 3379 7836. After the round, players can enjoy drinks from the fully licensed facilities at the club.

The facility comprises two separate locations featuring a 9-hole golf course, driving range, and pitch and putt course. The main 9-hole course operates in a relaxed atmosphere without formal dress codes or restrictive club rules, open from 6am until dusk daily. The complex is home to Brisbane's largest natural grass tee areas at the driving range, complemented by a putting green for skill development. The Corinda Golf Course Pitch and Putt provides an 18-hole par 3 course designed for short game practice, with holes ranging up to 63 metres. This facility serves as an ideal training ground for aspiring golfers. The complex is situated within quiet residential suburbs and offers social club membership options alongside casual play. Professional instruction is available through the on-site pro Richard Gompels, who provides various lesson packages and clinics. The facility accommodates regular competitive events, with results documented across multiple years, indicating an active social club membership base.
