The August Medal is an individual strokeplay competition held at Gold Coast Golf Club in Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland, on Sunday 23 August 2026. The event is played over 18 holes from the Blue Championship tees. It serves as one of the ten qualifying competitions for the club's Golfer of the Year (GOY) competition, where the best 7 of 10 scores count towards the final total, with all results converted to Stableford points. The competition is open to all golfers with a valid handicap. Category prizes are available based on handicap divisions: Category 1 (handicap ≤ 10), Category 2 (handicap 11-15), Category 3 (handicap 16-19), and Category 4 (handicap 20-28). The overall competition winner receives bonus points towards the GOY title. Visitors are welcome to enter and can book tee times via the club's online BRS booking system. Standard green fees apply for non-members.
