Gladstone Golf Club (Yaralla Golf Course) is an 18-hole course located in Barney Point, South Gladstone. The layout presents a challenging design that emphasizes precision and course management. The signature hole is a par 4 featuring a prominent dam in the middle of the fairway, requiring golfers to navigate around water hazards and bunkers guarding an elevated green. The course incorporates strategic bunkering throughout, with multiple holes featuring out-of-bounds areas that penalize errant shots. Notable characteristics include elevated greens, doglegs requiring accurate tee placement, and water hazards including creeks and dams that define several holes. The design varies in difficulty, with the longest par 3 measuring significantly longer than the shortest, which spans only 120 metres. Key challenges include hole 1, a 316-metre par 4 protected by a dogleg and creek; hole 16, the course's most difficult hole for men, featuring a long dogleg left with bunkers and a palm tree guarding the green; and hole 5, a par 5 with creek hazards and deep front bunkers. The course accommodates different skill levels with separate ratings for men and ladies, offering varied playing experiences across its layout.
