Calcot Park Golf Club

Reading, Berkshire, England

Calcot Park Golf Club is a historic members' club established in 1930 and designed by legendary architect Harry Colt, who also created Sunningdale Old, Swinley Forest, and Wentworth Club's courses. Located in Berkshire on the western fringes of Reading, the club occupies an exclusive private estate with a traditional parkland setting. The 18-hole course measures 6,300 yards from the white tees with a par of 70. It features the undulating terrain characteristic of Colt's design philosophy, with particular emphasis on superb, undulating greens that are renowned throughout the region. The parkland landscape is enhanced by abundant trees and diverse wildlife, with seasonal colour changes creating an attractive playing environment. The course is rated as one of Berkshire's top golf clubs and is recognized as among the best in the local area. It presents a demanding yet fair test of golf, with the undulating terrain and greenkeeping standards providing a challenging experience for players of all abilities. The combination of Colt's classic design principles and the natural landscape creates a course that balances playability with technical difficulty.
