Fire Ridge Golf Course

Millersburg, OH, United States

Fire Ridge Golf Course is an 18-hole layout featuring 6,296 yards from the longest tees with a par of 72, designed by Ron Cutlip and opened in 1920. The course is nestled on the rolling hills of Holmes County in east central Ohio, meandering up hills and through valleys while offering scenic views of the surrounding countryside. The course rating is 70.4 with a slope rating of 124. The front nine was created in 1929 and retains its original layout, with most greens visible from the tees and offering considerable forgiveness on errant tee shots, though some trouble spots require good recovery play. The back nine, opening in May 1999, is characterized as a placement or target golf course with several difficult and some blind tee shots designed to challenge every skill level. The course offers a challenging yet fair round for every skill level, with two very different 9-hole layouts to test shotmaking.
