Kickingbird Golf Course

OK, United States

KickingBird Golf Club, built in 1971, was designed by Floyd Farley and opened on May 29, 1971. The course is an 18-hole championship course on 160 acres of rolling hills, tree-lined fairways and gently contoured greens. The course features 6,722 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. Matthew Dusenberry's thoughtful redesign features bold bunkering, Tahoma 31 fairways, bent grass greens, and a strong strategic challenge. KickingBird Golf is Edmond's oldest course and is one of Oklahoma's premier public courses. The course hosted the Oklahoma Open from 1979–1985 with winners including Danny Edwards, Jaime Gonzales, Dr. Gil Morgan, Doug Tewell, Tom Jones, Kenny Huff, and Bob Tway. Since reopening, the course has hosted two NCAA DII Regionals and two Local US Amateur Qualifiers in 2024 and 2025. A nearly $21-million renovation was completed in 2023 which added a 57,000-square-foot covered and open hitting area at the driving range lit daily until 11pm and a new clubhouse with a high-quality dining facility.
