The Classic Mid-Amateurs de la Commanderie is an individual gross strokeplay competition held over 36 holes (18 holes per day) on 8-9 August 2026 at Golf de La Commanderie. The event is open to amateur golfers aged 25 or older (mid-amateurs) who hold a valid FFGolf license with an active certificate of medical fitness or health questionnaire and paid federal playing rights for the current year, or a recognized foreign federation license with a negative health questionnaire attestation. There are two playing series: a women's series from the blue tees (IV) and a men's series from the white tees (II). The maximum score per hole is Par + 4. Entry fee is €90 for adults and €45 for club subscribers. Entries are accepted by post to Golf de La Commanderie (887B Route de Mâcon, 01290 Crottet) with a check payable to Sarl Intensity, or by email to olivier@golflacommanderie.com with bank transfer to IBAN FR76 1080 7000 5712 5214 9931 410 (BIC: CCBPFRPPDJN). The entry deadline is Friday 24 July 2026; the entry list and waitlist are published on Wednesday 29 July 2026, and tee times are published on Thursday 6 August 2026. A maximum of 96 players are accepted, with a minimum of 27 women (excluding wild cards) and a maximum of 10 wild cards. Players are selected in order of Mid-Amateurs National ranking, then index, then date of entry receipt. A free course recognition round is available by reservation from 3-7 August 2026. Tee times are drawn by dividing the field into four equal blocks based on index, with Block 2 playing first on Day 1, followed by Block 1, Block 3, and Block 4; on Day 2, the order is reversed based on Day 1 results. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole-by-hole playoff is held on holes designated by the Committee. If the playoff is interrupted, the tiebreak proceeds by last round score, then holes 9, 6, 3, and the last hole, then hole-by-hole in reverse. The top three finishers in each series receive prizes, with a prize ceremony and cocktail held 30 minutes after the last players return.

Golf La Commanderie is an 18-hole championship course with a par of 72, located in the heart of the Aumusse park between Bourg-en-Bresse and Mâcon in the Ain department. The course was established in 1964 by designer Michaël Fenn and occupies 45 hectares of mature parkland featuring centuries-old trees with diverse species. Situated just five minutes from Mâcon and twenty minutes from Bourg-en-Bresse, the course is set within a historic bicentennial park that provides a naturally scenic and preserved landscape. Since 2013, extensive drainage and maintenance work has improved playability throughout the year. The facility has implemented environmentally conscious practices, limiting pesticide use to support local fauna and flora. The course operates year-round and is complemented by practice facilities, professional instruction, and an on-site restaurant open to the public. The mature tree-lined layout and park setting create a classic golfing experience suited to players of varying abilities.
