The Somabay World Cup is an international amateur golf competition series organized by LeClub Golf. This event is a regional qualifying stage for the 2026 season, played as individual net Stableford over 18 holes at Golf Bluegreen Gujan (Les Lacs course). Entry requires a mandatory 'Pass Ranking' purchased online via the Somabay World Cup website (https://www.somabay-world-cup.com/mon-pass-ranking) before the closing date. Players are divided into mixed series based on their handicap index: 1st series for indices under 15, 2nd series for indices 15 to 23.9, and 3rd series for indices 24 to 36. Indices above 36 are capped at 36. The top performers in each series across the regional qualifying events aim to qualify for the regional finals, with the ultimate goal of reaching the national and international finals in Egypt. The entry fee is 58.00 EUR for non-subscribers, plus a 10.00 EUR course fee. A FF Golf license and valid medical certificate are required for participation in the ranking phase. Tee-off time is 09:00 with staggered starts. Entries open 15/07/2026 and close 28/07/2026.

Golf Bluegreen Gujan-Mestras is a 27-hole facility located near the Bassin d'Arcachon in southwestern France, close to the famous Dune du Pyla. Created in 1990 by renowned architect Alain Prat, the course spans 120 hectares and features a scenic setting within pine forests interspersed with sand dunes and large lakes. The facility comprises three layouts: an 18-hole championship course, a 9-hole course, and a pitch and putt, accommodating golfers of all skill levels. The 18-hole course is notably technical and designed to challenge accomplished players, featuring the characteristic flat, gently rolling fairways typical of Florida-style courses. The terrain offers minimal elevation change, creating a playable yet demanding experience. Training facilities include grass and covered practice areas, an approach zone, and a putting green. The course is known for its professional yet welcoming atmosphere and hosts various championships. Additional amenities include a pro shop recognized for distinctive golf apparel and a restaurant. The layout's defining characteristic is its integration with the natural landscape, combining accessible playability with championship-caliber design standards.
