The Grevelingenhout Senioren Open 2026 is an open individual strokeplay competition for golfers aged 50 and over with a WHS handicap of less than 18. The event takes place on Saturday 22 August 2026 at Golfclub Grevelingenhout, starting at 12:00. Ladies play from the red tees and men from the yellow tees. The entry fee is €65 for non-members (€22.50 for members of Grevelingenhout), which includes greenfee, ball access at the driving range, a welcome with coffee and a snack, drinks, a pre-tournament reception (borrelgarnituur), a surprise on the course, and prizes for the best gross and net scores. The field is limited to 60 players, with the possibility of being extended to 90. Entry must be received by 16 August 2026 via the website. After the competition, participants can enjoy a meal of Zeelandic mussels with fries, bread and salad, or an alternative daily dish (additional cost: €23-27.50). Prizes are awarded to the lady and gentleman with the best gross scores over 18 holes, with a one-hole playoff on hole 9 in case of a tie for the best gross score. Golfclub Grevelingenhout is an 18-hole parkland course located in Bruinisse, Netherlands, adjacent to the Grevelingenmeer lake. The course features a par 72 layout with a total length of 6,151 meters spread across approximately 52 hectares of former farmland and forests. The setting combines coastal influences with woodland scenery, creating a distinctive atmosphere where salt air blends with natural vegetation. The course incorporates several dog-leg holes that require strategic play, with water hazards coming into play on certain shots. The design includes a double green shared by holes 9 and 18, which overlooks the brasserie. The course maintains excellent conditioning standards, with well-maintained greens and fairways. In addition to the main 18-hole course, Golfclub Grevelingenhout offers a par-3 loop for practice and alternative play. The facility caters to golfers of all levels, from beginners to advanced players, with professional instruction available through the Golfacademy. Supporting amenities include a clubfitting studio, golf shop, brasserie with views of the course, and meeting facilities for corporate events.
