The Austrian Amateur Open 2026 - Race to Malaysia is a single-round Stableford competition held at Golfanlage Schloss Finkenstein on Monday, August 3, 2026. The event is open to all amateur golfers who are members of a golf club affiliated with the Austrian Golf Federation (ÖGV) or an internationally recognized national federation, and who hold a World Handicap Index (WHI) of 54 or lower. The tournament is played as individual strokeplay under Stableford scoring, with full handicap allowances applied. Entry fee for guests is €55 or €70 for an 18-hole tournament (or €35 for 9 holes), varying by host club. This event is part of the Austrian Amateur Open 2026 series, a nationwide competition organized by the ÖGV. Participants can enter multiple tournaments throughout the season, with the four best results counting towards the regional ranking. The top 15 players from each regional group (handicap categories 1-6) and the top 15 youths, having played at least four ranking events, qualify for the Conference Finals in September 2026. The best players from each handicap category at the Austria Final in early October 2026 earn an invitation to the World Final, scheduled for October 23-31, 2026, in Johor, Malaysia. Online entry is available through golf.at, or by email/phone with the host club. Registration deadline is August 2, 2026, at 12:00.
