The 28. Badhaus Open is a team scramble competition held at Golfplatz Lederbach on Sunday, 2 August 2026. The event is open to all golfers, with a maximum of 80 participants. Teams of two are required; individual entries will be paired where possible. Players with a CV handicap of 37-54 are eligible but will be rated at handicap 36. Team handicaps are calculated by multiplying the better DGV handicap by 0.8 and the worse by 0.2, then adding and rounding. The competition uses stableford scoring within the scramble format, where both team members tee off, the team selects the better ball, and both players putt from that position. There is one class (yellow/red tees). Prizes are awarded to the top 2 teams by gross score and top 3 teams by net score, with special awards for Nearest to the Pin (hole 11) and Straightest Drive (hole 3). Tie-breaks follow the hole sequence 1/18/3/16/5/14/7/12/9. The entry fee is €59 for members, €133 for guests staying at Hotels Maximilian, Fürstenhof, or Das Ludwig, €133 for guests of the Gutshöfe Brunnwies, Penning, or Uttlau, €151 for guests including greenfee, and €55 plus greenfee for youth (under 18, or students/scholars up to age 27 with 50% greenfee discount). Registration deadline is Friday, 31 July 2026, at 12:00. The event includes a White Sausage breakfast with free beer at 09:30, cannon start at 10:30, and prize-giving at 19:00 in the Badhaus in Bad Griesbach, with all participants invited to a communal dinner with free beer. Golf carts can be reserved until the registration deadline.

Golfplatz Lederbach - Quellness Golf Resort Bad Griesbach

Bad Griesbach i.Rottal, Bayern, Germany

Golfplatz Lederbach, designed by Kurt Rossknecht, is an 18-hole course that distinguishes itself through its distinctive alpine-style terrain. Located within Quellness Golf Resort Bad Griesbach, the course features steep elevation changes, significant height variations, and challenging slopes that demand both skill and stamina from players. The layout includes numerous uphill and downhill sections with pronounced ridges and sideslopes. The course is notable for its panoramic views across the Rottal region, extending to the Bavarian Forest, Bad Griesbach, and the Alps on clear days. A signature challenge is the infamous "Herzschlaghügel" (heart attack hill) at hole 9, a Par 4 where the final 150 meters from fairway to green feature a 48-percent gradient, making it one of Germany's ten most difficult holes. Hole 17, a lengthy uphill Par 5, presents another significant test. Walking players require considerable endurance, though the resort maintains over 120 electric golf carts—Germany's largest fleet—primarily stationed at Lederbach. A popular clubhouse between the first tee and eighteenth green adds to the course's appeal. Dogs on leashes are permitted on the course.
