The Koch's Foodland Loxton Amateur Golf Open is a multi-day tournament held at Loxton Golf Club from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th July 2026. The event features a Pinehurst competition on Friday and a 36-hole Championship played across Saturday and Sunday in strokeplay format. Separate Men's, Women's, Men's Veteran (50+), and Women's Veteran championships are offered, with handicapped grades for men (A-grade 0-9, B-grade 10-15, C-grade 16-22, D-grade 23-36) and two grades for women. Maximum handicaps are 36 for men and 45 for women. The event is open to amateur golfers, with visiting competitors made temporary members on competition days. The field is restricted to 170 players. Entry is online via the official form, with entries closing at 6:00pm on Friday 10th July 2026. The event is fully booked, with a waitlist available for any cancellations. Ties in the Championship event are decided by playoff; all other ties are decided by count back. Trophies are awarded to winners and runners-up in all events. The entry fee covers competition play, with food and drinks available throughout the day including breakfast, lunch, and refreshments. Final tee times are displayed on the club website by Monday 20th July 2026. Practice on the course between championship rounds is not permitted.

Loxton Golf Club is a public access course located 8 kilometers from the town of Loxton in South Australia's Riverland region. The course features well-maintained greens and presents a relaxed, social atmosphere suited to golfing enthusiasts of all levels. Ranked among South Australia's top 10 courses, it is described as challenging and rewarding. The course underwent significant design enhancement in late 1963 when renowned superintendent and architect Vern Morcom was brought in to improve the layout. His contributions included lengthening several holes and creating the distinctive par-three 5th hole and the challenging par-four 8th hole. The course hosts numerous tournaments throughout the year, attracting strong support from both intra-state and interstate golfers. In 2026, the club celebrates its centenary and 75 years at its current location. Loxton Golf Club serves the local golfing community while welcoming visitors, and operates as a venue for tournaments, functions, and casual play. The facility also offers powered caravan camping sites with amenities.
