The HGC Strokeplay Open is an individual 18-hole gross strokeplay competition (qualifying round), open to both ladies and men holding a valid WHS handicap with a maximum handicap index of 18. Players must be aged 18 or over; younger players may participate only by special request. Ladies play from the blue tees, men from the white tees. Maximum 96 participants, in flights of up to 3 players, with a double tee start. First tee time: 10:30; last tee time: 12:30. Start times are sent by email on Wednesday 16 September. In the event of a tie on gross score, a play-off will decide the winner. On-course transport is not permitted; non-professional caddies are allowed. Entry fee: €15 + regular credits for HGC playing-right holders; €70 for external players without an HGC playing right. An optional packed lunch can be booked in advance for €10.50. On arrival, participants receive coffee/tea with a snack; after play, a savoury snack platter (bittergarnituur) is included. Prize presentation takes place approximately half an hour after the last flight has finished. Registration opens 1 June 2026 and closes 13 September 2026. Entry is confirmed upon payment via QR code.


Prizes

Prizes for ladies and men separately for best gross score and best net score. Winners of the gross category also receive the first official perpetual trophies (wisselbekers) of the HGC Strokeplay Open.
