6th Annual Summer Open

The 6th Annual Summer Open is a 2-person scramble tournament held at Kern River Golf Course in Bakersfield, CA on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with an 8am shotgun start. The entry fee is $260 in cash (must be paid by July 16th) or $270 by credit/debit card via PayPal (3.5% fee applies). Entry includes green fee, cart, tee prize, range access, and breakfast. Players must have a GHIN number; those without an established handicap play to 0. Handicap spread between partners is limited to a maximum of 7 shots. Tee assignments are based on handicap and age: 0–5 handicap (under 50) play from the Blue Tees; 6+ handicap or players 50+ play from the White Tees; players 60 or older and women play from the Gold Tees. Optional Team Skins and Pari-Mutuel side games are available. The prize purse totals up to $6,500 based on 65 teams entering, with Gross and Net payouts.
