RAAF Golf Course

City of Darwin, Australia

RAAF Darwin Golf Club is a picturesque and challenging 9-hole course with 18 tee blocks. The course was built in 1970. It is the premier Defence golf course in the Top End, providing golfing facilities for all members of the ADF community. The course has a par of 69, plays to 5442 yards, and has a slope rating of 105. The course is open to members of the public for both competition and social play and provides a good opportunity for members of the ADF to interact with the wider community in a golfing and social setting. Volunteers constructed the course from humble beginnings into the high quality nine hole layout that exists today. The layout presents a moderate challenge for golfers of varying skill levels, with well-maintained fairways and carefully designed greens. The club is run and maintained by dedicated volunteers, with the course itself always open (weather permitting) but the clubhouse may not always be staffed.
