Canton Golf Club is a 9-hole private golf course located in Canton Creek Valley near Canton, Georgia. The course plays to a par 71 with tee options ranging from 4,500 to 6,100 yards, accommodating varying skill levels. Membership is by invitation only. Built in 1938 by Robert Tyre Jones Sr., the course has deep historical roots in the community. Jones Sr. was the grandfather of legendary golfer Bobby Jones, who reportedly assisted in designing the course and played in its inaugural invitational tournament that year. The course remained under mill ownership before being purchased by its members, who have maintained it as a member-owned facility since that time. Set within the Canton Creek Valley landscape, the nine-hole layout offers a scenic setting typical of Georgia's terrain. The course has hosted tournaments throughout its history, with documented events dating back to its opening year. As a private, invitation-only club, Canton Golf Club maintains a selective membership and operates daily from 9:00 AM until 30 minutes before sunset.
