Women's-only charity fundraising tournament benefiting God Winks, Inc., a nonprofit organisation that provides photographic services to families experiencing loss and hardship. Held at Elkdale Country Club, 4676 Route 353, Salamanca, NY. Format is a 2-person scramble: both players tee off from their designated tee area, the best tee shot is selected and play continues from that spot until the ball is holed. Each player's tee shot must be selected at least three times. Gross and net winners are recognised. Two divisions for the 18-hole format (teammates must play the same tee box): Winks Flight (#4 Tees) and Kindness Flight (#5 Tees). A separate 9-hole flight plays from #5 Tees. Handicap allowance: 35% of Player 1 (lower handicap) + 15% of Player 2 (higher handicap). Players must register as a twosome; contact the golf staff if you wish to be paired with a specific team. Entry fee: $65 per player (Elkdale members and reciprocal club members) or $90 per player (non-members) for 18 holes; $45/$70 respectively for 9 holes. Fee includes greens fee, cart fee, and lunch. Reciprocal club members should have their club's golf professional contact Elkdale to obtain the discounted rate. Payment accepted by credit card, cash, or cheque. Schedule: 9:00am Registration opens; 10:00am 18-hole shotgun start; 11:30am 9-hole shotgun start; 2:30pm Lunch and scoring; Awards and silent auction after scoring is complete. Fundraiser activities throughout the day include a 50/50 raffle, Pro Advantage tee shot, Flowers for a Cause, Wink Worthy Silent Auction, God Winks team picture hole, and Unexpected Blessings — bring extra cash to participate. The course spans 6,132 yards with a par of 70, designed to challenge players of all skill levels. The course has two distinct sections reflecting different eras of construction. The front nine was established in 1927, featuring a layout cut through varied terrain and mature trees. The back nine was added in the mid-1960s and is characterized by longer holes and larger greens. Notable features include a challenging 555-yard par 5 and a 215-yard par 3. The course is nestled in hills with interesting topography throughout. Play is available via annual membership or daily green fees, with tee times accessible year-round weather permitting. The club operates seasonally from April through November and hosts various tournaments, leagues, and special events throughout the golfing season.
