Bro-Bålsta Golfklubb features two courses: an 18-hole championship course and a 9-hole course open year-round. The 18-hole course, designed by Peter Nordwall, opened in phases—the first 12 holes in 1982 and the complete course in 1985. The design draws inspiration from classic British heathland courses, adapted to Nordic climate conditions. Located near Bro in Sweden, the courses sit on terrain characterized by Mälaren clay soil with elements of Brunkebergs sand, featuring varied elevation changes with open meadows and wooded sections. The 18-hole layout is particularly renowned for its large, undulating greens that present significant challenge near the pin, while fairways offer generous width to be forgiving for wayward shots. The club was founded in 1978, with a provisional driving range and pitch course established in 1979. The 9-hole course began opening in 1980. The 18-hole course was officially inaugurated by Prince Bertil. The setting reflects the British heathland aesthetic naturally present in the landscape, making it a well-regarded destination for both members and visiting golfers.
