9-hole shotgun tournament held weekly on Monday evenings from April through August at Blacksburg Municipal Golf Course (Golf the Hill), Blacksburg, VA. The entry fee is $20 per player and includes a cart. Teams are made by the staff on duty; pairing requests may not be granted. The format changes each week and is chosen by the pro shop. On 10 August 2026 the format is the Cornhole Challenge: every player gets one throw at a cornhole board before teeing off on hole #1, and each successful make deducts one stroke from the team's final score. Open to the first 36 players who sign up. Players may register any time during the prior week but must call before 4:00 PM on the Monday of the event — no late entries accepted. Gift certificate prizes are awarded to winners each week; certificates can be used for anything in the pro shop except Monday Night Madness entry fees. No rainchecks are issued: if the tournament cannot be completed, all entry fees collected are added to the following week's prize pool.

Prizes

Gift certificates for the pro shop (cannot be used toward Monday Night Madness entry fees). If the tournament is not completed due to weather, all entry fees collected roll over into the following week's prize pool.

The 9-hole Blacksburg course features 2,731 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35. Designed by Ferdinand Garbin, ASGCA, the Blacksburg golf course opened in 2019. The course rating is 33.2 and it has a slope rating of 109. Located in Blacksburg, Virginia, the course is commonly referred to as "The Hill" and is managed as a municipal golf facility. The course features five sets of tee boxes and lush bent grass fairways and greens. The second green is the highest spot in Blacksburg. Practice facilities include an expanded putting green and a two-hole short game practice area. The course is designed for players of all skill levels and is open year-round to the public. Monday Night Madness is a regular tournament event where golfers can compete for prizes. In addition to traditional golf, the facility also offers Fling golf and lessons for that alternative format. The course serves the local community while welcoming visitors, with instruction available through both open clinics and private lessons.
