Bedale Golf Course

North Yorkshire, England

Bedale Golf Club, established in 1894, is an 18-hole parkland course located in North Yorkshire near Wensleydale Hills. Set on the outskirts of Bedale town, the course winds through 18th-century parkland formerly used as a deer park, featuring wide tree-lined fairways and extensive views across the Dales landscape. The course presents a moderate to challenging layout with natural drainage and easy walking terrain. Water hazards feature on seven holes, while the prevailing westerly breeze adds to the difficulty. The parkland setting with mature trees and open fairways characterizes the design. Bedale benefits from its accessible location, situated within three miles of the A1 motorway junction 51, making it convenient for visitors. The club maintains good course conditions and offers practice facilities. The course accommodates golfers of varying abilities while providing scenic surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales countryside. Bedale is part of the 1894 Club, offering reciprocal play arrangements with numerous national clubs and regional courses including Durham City, Bishop Auckland, Richmond, and Saltburn.
