The Valentine Trophy is a Mixed 4-Person Texas Scramble team event held at Pwllheli Golf Club on Sunday 26th July 2026. Teams consist of 4 players (2 ladies and 2 gents). The event is open to visitors who must be members of a Golf Club or affiliated to an association such as Wales Golf and hold a valid CDH number. Handicap limits are Men 28 and Ladies 36. Entry fee is £7.50 for members and £30 for non-members. A prize-giving ceremony takes place after close of play.

Clwb Golff Pwllheli is an 18-hole, par 69 course stretching 6,100 yards, originally designed as a 9-hole course by Tom Morris in 1900 and extended to 18 holes in 1909 under the designs of James Braid, a five-time British Open Champion. Located on the south-facing coastline of Cardigan Bay on the Llŷn Peninsula, the course offers fantastic views stretching across miles of coastline to the mountains of Snowdonia. The course uniquely combines tree-lined parkland golf on the opening holes with links golf on the closing nine holes. The course has no par-fives, which makes scoring particularly challenging. Golf and travel writer Barry Ward describes the par-four 15th as "the highlight in a gem of a course" and includes it along with the par-three 10th in his selection of the best 18 holes in Wales.
